Many Britney fan sites posted news earlier today claiming that a song titled “Feet On The Ground” was a new song by Britney, or demo song for the upcoming compilation.

As we suspected, it was untrue.  Singer Myah Marie has taken to her MySpace page to clear it all up.

so it happens again…

i wrote this song about a year and a half ago… produced by Nick Terranova (Starkillers) and Howie Hersh (look him up, he’s great!)

it was passed along and was ultimately turned down by Britneys’ people for her last album, “Circus”. this has NOTHING to do with me doing background vocals for “circus”

haha im just trying to clear things up, people!

okay, SO we did two different versions, one for Britney, and another for whomever

you can find the “britney version” on youtube or somewhere else..

but i’m posting the version where it sounds more like ME.

BOTH vocals were done by ME and ONLY ME, so theres no confusion.

i just happen to be able to change my voice =]

This weekend is a Blackout Weekend.

Saturday and Sunday, go online or head to your favourite store to grab a copy of Blackout.

The reason for this “Support Blackout Weekend” is to give it a nice boost on the charts, try to give the album to attention that it deserves it’s a great album. But there is only one way, we can get this to be even slightly successful, and that’s with YOUR help! You guys this “Support Blackout Weekend” is really kicking off. Even if it’s not as successful as we hope it’ll be, that doesn’t matter, let’s have fun with this.

Today was definately worth the wait after Sony Music finally confirmed the news gimmeBRITNEY has been reporting on for weeks now – The Singles Collection and brand new single ‘3‘, which will hit radio sometime on Tuesday.

You guys are obviously really anxious to hear the new single, as are we – and also want all the information you can get on the forthcoming compilation.  So here’s some stuff that we’ve managed to srape together for you.

The album will be released in Australia on Friday November 20th 2009, back a couple of weeks from what we originally reported on.  There are 2 different versions of The Singles Collection.  The first is the standard release that has a RBP of $29.95 – but usually retailers undersell this by a couple of dollars anyway.

The other version is the “treasure chest” that we also reported on a while back.  It will contain all of her singles with original cover art, and come in a Britney box.  More information on this is in the press release.  The RBP is currently $149.95 for all her 29 singles, including the new song ‘3‘.

New York, NY – In celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut on the music scene, Jive Records is releasing Britney Spears The Singles Collection on November 24. To launch the special package a brand new single entitled “3,” which Britney recently recorded with hitmaker Max Martin, will go to radio Tuesday, September 29.

There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection; an ultimate fan box set and a standard version.

The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song “3.” Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney’s videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.

The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart topping favorites along with the new song “3,” all on one CD.

During her 10 year career, Britney has had 5 albums debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart, as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart. Worldwide, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, constantly topping charts with her albums  …Baby One More Time (1999);  Oops!… I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003); Blackout (2007) and Circus (2008).
