Sony Music Australia have just sent us the official word (after we’d let you know this morning of the date of release) for Britney‘s upcoming 7th studio album Femme Fatale.
It will be released in Australia on Friday March 25th, and will be available as both standard and deluxe editions. Special fan edition of the album is available now as a pre-order from her official website.

Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” Video Premiere On 18th February
Britney Spears’ highly anticipated seventh studio album Femme Fatale is confirmed to be released on March 25th in Australia.
The “Hold It Against Me” video directed by Jonas Åkerlund will premiere on VEVO on the 18th of February. Special teasers for the “Hold It Against Me” video have been airing on Britney.com, and will continue to air up to the premiere.
During her 12-year career, Britney has had five albums debut in the No. 1 position on Billboard ’s Top 200 Albums chart and she’s had 24 Top 40 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. Globally, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the past decade, dominating charts with her albums, selling an astonishing 67 million albums worldwide. Producer William Orbit has been left off Britney Spears‘ upcoming March album Femme Fatale.
Taking to Twitter, Orbit says that assumptions were made that he’d be on the album and that he worked on a song with Klas Ahlund (Piece Of Me) that will not see the light of day.
the Britney thing. Look, I went to a writing camp at Teresa’s. Had lovely time. Word got out. Assumptions were made. Dr Luke is exec prod and he locks in locks out whoever he likes. And (do i hear u ask) where B’s at in all this? I surely don’t know. did a song w Klas Ahlund, who wrote ‘Piece of Me’. And is killa. But not on FF apparently. But a good song is a good song regardless. gotta say, to me, a tru singa just wants 2 sing all the time. But some are only up for it till their mojo cranks out. seriously, Bloodshy and Avant r on there? They MUST be. ifAnyone they MUST be on there!!! Who’s got the scoop on this?

The latest information we have is that finishing touches are being made to Femme Fatale and a revised Australian release date of Friday March 25. No word yet on whether or not we’ll see both the standard and deluxe editions of the album.
