An Australian radio network has come out talking about Britney’s upcoming single ‘Hold It Against Me‘ in a segment called “The Dirt” during their nationwide night show.
The Today Network’s Summer Hot 30 Countdown has come out reporting that the track will be released on Friday, as well as attacking Britney in the segment.
I mean I love it when she tries to sing, but it’s not really. It’s called ‘Hold It Against Me’. It’s gonna be released on Friday January the 7th. Now some of the lyrics rumoured to be are “Dancing to my favourite song all by myself and that ain’t how it should be, ah baby you can Hold It Against Me” – you know what, they’re really boring lyrics, I just can’t wait for her to actually mouth them. What do you reckon?

Way before this aired, producer Dr Luke tweeted that the lyrics that had been floating around were completely fake. Guess the eggs on these guys’ faces.

A couple of days earlier on December 8th, gimmeBRITNEY let the tea spill with news that the single was indeed called ‘Hold It Against Me‘ and that we could expect to hear it on January 3rd.
On December 23rd, we also got word that some reps from the record company worldwide had heard the new single – telling us that it’s “her best single since Toxic“.
Recently producer Dr Luke has been on Twitter letting fans know certain lyrics to the new single.

Entertainment website Just Jared posted the apparent lyrics to the new single on December 27th.
Also on December 27th, Alleged dancers of Britney said that they had heard the new single and that it was called ‘Hold It Against Me‘. The dancers also said that this song was “nothing Gaga” and that it’s “Slave 4 U meets 2011”
