Tomorrow sees the (official) release of the new Britney ‘Blackout/Circus‘ double disc set in Australian music stores, and to celebrate our friends at Sony Music have given us five copies to giveaway to the biggest Britney fans in the world.

We’re hearing alot of reports that not only Radiance by Britney Spears has made it’s way into Myer retail stores this week (ahead of it’s late October release), but that the Blackout/Circus double disc package has hit shelves today (2 days ahead of its official release).

Well this is big news. Music producer William Orbit is officially writing and working on producing tracks for Britney‘s upcoming album – due for release early next year.
The news came as Britney‘s A&R, Teresa Whites tweeted:
Some HUGE news guys! William Orbit is officially writing and working on Britney’s new album. For those who don’t know he did alot of Madonna’s Ray Of Light.
The said tweet was later removed.
This now gives us some more insight into the sound that Britney may be going for – with Orbit well known for his electronic ambient house music. Best known for his work on Madonna‘s ‘Ray Of Light‘ album, Orbit has also worked with the likes of U2 (Electrical Storm), Blur, Pink (Feel Good Time), All Saints (Pure Shores, Black Coffee), Sugababes (Spiral) and Robbie Williams (Louise, Summertime).
Some of our favourite songs have been produced by Orbit – call us officially excited.
FUN FACT: Britney originally wanted to work with William Orbit for her 2002 album ‘In The Zone‘ however it’s suggested that work schedules stopped this from happening.
