There was speculation when we posted about Britney‘s album expected “early 2011″, but now we’ve heard it straight from Britney‘s manager Adam Leber who took to Twitter to let fans know how she’s going with the next album.

As we’d previously posted, Sony Music expect a new album early next year – and we’d suggest that includes the first single as well possibly around February or March.
We’ll keep you updated on any further news about the album.

Well if you needed any further proof that Britney is still hot news, then just look at Twitter.
Personally, Brit currently holds two of the top 5 Trending Topics with ‘Britney Spears episode‘ and ‘Toxic‘. In fact, ‘Britney Spears episode‘ has been the #1 Twitter Trending Topic for the past 3 hours making up almost 65% of what users are tweeting about on the social site, and it doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon with Australia set to follow America’s lead in a couple of hours.
At one point during the show airing in the US, the Glee episode had 8 of the Top 10 spots trending – amongst those were Britney Spears Glee, After Dentist Reference, Heather Morris, Sue Sylvester, Artie Singing, Jewish Cloud and Lea Michele.
We’ll be watching the ratings for the episode in Australia after it not only broke, but SMASHED previous records for a Glee episode in the US.
