charts to #13. That #1 spot is looking good.
It seems the majority of fans are very happy about the RiRi/Brit collab. The general feeling

I wanted to share this article because I feel it describes exactly how many of us feel about the one and only Britney Spears.
Nick writes:
“Britney Spears exploded on to the pop music scene out of no where back in the 90′s. Her albums, magazine etc. flew off the shelves in seconds. She had a huge teen fan base but no doubt parents loved her too! Aside from being an amazing artist she was a very likeable, sweet southern teenage girl! People have and always will love her for so many different reasons, but I want to tell you just why I love her!
I think that all of my fellow Britney fans can agree that when you are a fan of Brit it kind of feels like you are best friends with her! I had always kind of liked Britney but when I really starting loving her was during the Blackout era (2007) maybe even before that. Yes, I began loving Britney around the time she began going through a crisis. While she was going through all this stuff I thought why? Why is this sweet person having to deal with all this crap? As much as people tried to say she was crazy I knew she wasn’t! She was just a person having her every move magnified and blown up for the whole world to see. I look at it like this: Everyone makes mistakes but everyone doesn’t have 50 plus camera’s flashing in their face!
Lets address the thing everyone talks about – The shaving of the head. I am going to say this: If Britney Jean Spears wants wear extensions or be bald that is her choice and no ones damn business. Actually anything that has to do with her personal life is no ones business! Britney Spears is who she is and not afraid to be who she is which is also another reason I love her! My heart really went out to her when she went through what she went through! Oh but GURL lemme tell you about the magic she makes on a song that can’t be explained, which is another reason why I love her so much!
Yes Britney went through a hard time in her life just like normal people do – she is only human! I really think that people forget that.
This brings me to my next point. Britney fell down, she had a hard time, but did she get back up? Yes she did! Which I why she inspires me! Seeing someone go through so much and then get their life back together is always inspirational!
It amazes me how ignorant some people are about her! When I say I like her everyone says, “Why, she is crazy” and I reply and say, “How would you know?” to which they say, “It was on the news” or “I saw it in a magazine.” All I have to say is Bitch WTF? How are you gonna pass judgement on somebody based on gossip or an opinion? Just because you hear something doesn’t make it true! I also wonder sometimes if people understand that there is a person behind all this stuff. A person with hurt feelings because everyone is talking about them like sh*t! It hurt me sometimes seeing people talk about her in that way! So I was happy to see her rise back up and get the press back on her side the slightest bit. It just makes me happy to see her happy!
One thing people always wonder is why I freak out over seeing Britney, even if its just seeing her for two seconds. The thing is being a fan of Britney is a lot different then being a fan of any other pop star. While other pop stars are shoved down your throat in ads or appearances or performances, Britney rarely makes appearances does ads or TV performances. So seeing her gets you so excited because you rarely do, its like a treat!
Now lets talks about Britney’s music which I love! The first Britney Album I ever got was Blackout and it was so good, one of my favorites! I played that thing till it couldn’t be played anymore! Many people I talk to say she can’t sing or that she sucks! Most people say she is too breathy, has a baby voice or that it is all the same typical pop sound. I completely disagree – Britney is a very talented singer. Plus most of the people I talk to don’t even listen to a whole album, just the singles. The whole point of releasing singles is to have a commercial appeal, so people buy the album and get the full experience. Britney Spears has always been a singer and a damn good one in my opinion! I mean who makes it on Starsearch without being able to sing? People also say her voice isn’t strong. Britney has a nice voice and it is her voice. Who cares if she is belting out or holding a note for 10 minutes. I love Britney’s music and think she is an amazing performer!
Another thing I want to talk about is Britney’s live performances. Lately people have been comparing her performances from 2001 to now, saying she doesn’t dance as well. This makes me very mad mainly because her fans are saying she is doing a crappy job at dancing. If your a fan you support her not talk about her in such a manner! Fans should be happy that Britney even wants to do this. She could stop and say eff all this. She could go off and live on some island with her kids but she doesn’t do that and she is still making music for all of us! Maybe she needs our love and support. Maybe it makes her feel good. So just give her love and support!
Britney Spears is a legend and icon. She is one of those rare people who just has something so special that can’t be explained. Maybe its her amazing talent. Maybe its her amazing, sweet and charming personality. Whatever the reason she is who she is which is why I love her. She is just Britney she is a a pop star but she is also a nice charming girl! I also love that she doesn’t care what people think! She can walk out the house in a bathing suit, snow boots and a messed up weave and is totally fine with it and doesn’t give two f**ks how people feel about it! I will always love Britney whether Blonde, Brunette or bald, whatever! She owns my heart and always will!”
